Matt Sloan here, editor-in-chief of Between Worlds Zine. Over the past month and a half, we’ve been working behind the scenes to ensure that the first edition of Between Worlds packs an otherworldly punch. We’ve been floored by the reception and the sheer amount of stories submitted to us, and have already accepted a few for our first edition. If you’ve already been contacted, welcome aboard. If you haven’t yet, please don’t fret. We’re getting back to people as fast as possible, and you should hear if your story has been accepted for publication or not pretty soon.
As such, we have decided that it would be prudent to delay the first issue by just over a week, giving the necessary time to ensure our first issue goes off without a hitch. Our first issue will now be published on July 1st 2016. During this time, you should expect to hear whether your story has been successful or not.
We sincerely apologise for the delay, and hope this doesn’t cause too much inconvenience for you. Really, we would rather have stuck with our original planned publication date. If you have any questions or concerns though, please don’t hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org
Meanwhile, we’ve got some exciting things planned for our second issue, including a themed competition with some great prizes. Keep an eye on the editor’s blog in the weeks that follow for announcements.
We can’t wait to read more of your stories, and see what lurks just beyond your own veils.
Thanks for reading,
Editor | Between Worlds Zine
